Traditional business marketing tactics ask us to show up no matter how we’re feeling and to grow our businesses in ways that are more about transactions than relationships. Given that we’re out here to shake shit up and make change, these tactics weigh on our souls and don’t feel aligned with the spaces we’re working to build.

I’m here to tell you that I believe traditional marketing tactics are absolute bullshit and that there IS another way.

Why am I your guy?

Hi, I’m Kai!

I have spent my entire life disrupting every system I possibly could, and it’s been no different in running my business. Except with my business, it took me much longer to realize that I could actually grow it without following the marketing strategies I was hearing all around me. I was trying to post regularly on social media and in ways that were absolutely draining. I was sending newsletters in transactional ways. I was following these rules that I thought I was supposed to in order to see business growth.

I realized that these rules are made for and only work for people who aren’t marginalized and/or disruptors. As a white person, there are of course parts of these rules that work for me, but as a queer and trans person, I’m not able to receive the outcomes of following these marketing strategies while being my authentic self.

I’ve noticed that the more I lean into marketing in ways that feel authentic to me, the more business growth I experience.

I’ve found that I thrive on building relationships that go beyond transactions, that I don’t actually like being on social media regularly or hardly at all, that I was missing out on having time to write longer pieces of work because I was spending all of it on social media…the list goes on y’all.

So, it’s through my own experience of rule-breaking and accepting that my core belief of “I’m not going to do what doesn’t feel good” I created in my late teens still applies today that has equipped me to support you in this journey.

The way I support business owners is deeply informed by my work as an equity-inclusion facilitator as well as the many years I’ve spent in deep and ongoing anti-racism and anti-oppression teachings and practices. I’m honored to have supported the badass business owners that I have already and look forward to working with many, many more.

CONSULT:

We first have a 30-minute free consultation to see if we’re a right fit for one another and also to make sure this is the offer for you…if it isn’t, we may decide to craft a custom package for you!

HUMANITY FIRST BUSINESS MAP:

→ We have four 90-minute to two hour calls for a thorough intake process where we will deep dive into who you are, your values, your business today and the current systems you have in place to run it, your overall dreams and vision, the discrepancies between all of the above, and so much more.

→ I build out what I call your Humanity First Business Map, which is a 20-30 page PDF document that compiles all of my findings from our intake process in a really clear and succinct way. This map will also outline clear actions and several new systems for you to implement that are incredibly individualized and aligned to who you are, the goals of your business, and how you want to feel.

→ There may be extra clarifying correspondence needed through email as I create your map.

→ This map will serve as a guiding light for you and how you move forward to growing your business!

IMPLEMENTATION SUPPORT:

→ After creating your map, we meet every other week for three months for me to support you in implementing the systems laid out in your Humanity First Business Map.

→ I support you on the backend in preparing anything that’s needed before implementing the systems.

→ I help you in setting up an analytics process in tracking each and every system and help you strategize any adjustments that need to be made.

→ You have access to emailing me with questions as they arise.
